Logan Thunder Junior Rasmus Bach Signs for NBL1 2022

Former Logan Thunder Junior Rasmus Bach has signed with the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men for the 2022 NBL1 North Season. Standing 1.93m and 25 years of age, Bach is currently playing for the New Zealand Breakers in the National Basketball League. Prior to joining the Breakers, Bach played in Denmark for Danish club Randers Cimbria where he averaged 12.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.3 assist.

Rasmus played junior representative basketball as a member of the U12 and U14 Logan Thunder teams from 2005 – 2008 before moving to the USA with his family. Logan Basketball is very excited to add another former junior player to the Logan Thunder NBL1 North program.

Rasmus said this on joining the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men for NBL1 North 2022:

Why did you decide to sign with the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men?

“I signed with the McDonald’s Logan Thunder for a few reasons. First, because of the great program and basketball culture they have there that can help develop my game. Second, to help them win a championship. And third, I’m looking forward to play for the club where I first fell in love with basketball. “

What does it mean to return to your junior club?

“It’s like life has come full circle for me. I grew up watching the men’s team play and as a kid loved going to the games. When my family moved to the U.S. I thought I’d never coming back so it will be really cool putting on a Thunder jersey again. “

Do you have a message for the Thunder Family?

“Get ready for a fun season! I can’t wait to represent the Thunder family again. See you on the court! “

What can Thunder fans expect from you this season?

“I think fans can expect to see an all around player. If you’ve seen me play in the NBL my role is as a 3 and D guy. I am an athletic guard that can play multiple positions so I will be excited to show my full arsenal of skills. “

What do the McDonald’s Logan Thunder men need to do to win the championship this season after losing in the semi finals in 2021?

“I think the McDonald’s Logan Thunder need to keep doing more of the same. By that I mean getting to the semi’s isn’t easy. Winning is tough. But hopefully I can help shore up some things on the defensive end for the team.”

Rasmus joins Jeremy Kendle, Michael Cedar, Boston Mazlin and Tom Howard who will line up for the Thunder Men in 2022. More player and partner announcements soon.
