Registering with one of the affiliated clubs listed below automatically enrolls your child in the Logan Basketball Junior Club Competition. We cater to all skill levels and abilities, ensuring a fun and safe environment for children aged 7-18 years. With divisions for everyone, our staff and clubs work hard to make sure your child enjoys the game.

Thunder 10’s Mixed: Born in 2017-2019
Under 12 Boys: Born in 2015-2016
Under 14 Boys: Born in 2013-2014
Junior Girls: Born in 2013-2016
Under 16 Boys: Born in 2011-2012
Under 19 Boys: Born in July 2007-2010
Youth Girls: Born July 2007-2012

Venues:

Friday Night Games (U16-19 + Youth Girls): Cornubia Park Sports Centre, Mount Warren Sports Centre, Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre. When a venue isn’t available, rounds will be held at surrounding schools (Shailer Park SHS, Beenleigh SHS, John Paul College).
Saturday Games (U10-14 + Junior Girls): Cornubia Park Sports Centre, Shailer Park SHS

Club Fee: Varies by club.

Logan Basketball Competition Fee: Half Season Fees Now Active!

Basketball Queensland Membership Fee (12-month insurance):

U10: $37.63 + GST
U12-19: $75.26 + GST

Basketball Australia Levy (12-month):

Registrations are open! Most clubs will provide priority registration to current players, followed by new players. Register now to hold your spot.

FAQs

How old to play?

Children turning 7-18 years old in 2026 can play.
The competition is divided into several age groups:
Under 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s, 19s.
Your age group is determined by what age you are turning in the year that the competition concludes.

How are players separated in terms of skill?

Players are separated by ability and put into divisions within each club, so your child will play at an appropriate level relative to skill and experience.

What is the difference between each club?

All clubs consist of fantastic volunteer committees and coaches. The main difference between each club is day and venue of training as to what suits your direct needs and where you live.

What are the costs?

This depends on the club’s fee and age group. The full cost is roughly $450 for the season, however you can check out the fee breakdown on the Affiliated Junior Clubs page.

How long is the season?

16 rounds + finals if their team is eligible. There will also be a 16th round for non-finals teams, held during the semi final round.

I have a Play On! Voucher. Can I use this for a discount?

We accept Play On vouchers. Please email the voucher to juniorcompetition@loganbasketball.com BEFORE registering.

Following our staff redeeming the voucher with the QLD Government, you will be provided a discount code to then register your child in BasketballConnect.

Is there a place to watch my games back?

All of our games at Cornubia and Mt Warren Park are now recorded on Glory League, with an email link sent out to you showcasing your own highlight package following each game.
