Jean-Luc Morel joins Thunder Family

Logan Basketball is excited to announce that Jean-Luc Morel has signed with the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men for the 2022 NBL1 North Season. Morel has previously spent time as a development player with the Cairns Taipans in the National Basketball League and at 6’9 and with athleticism and length, Morel will bring added depth to the Thunder front court.

‍Morel is excited to join the Thunder Family .

‍”I wanted to join The thunder after being witness to the culture that everyone goes on about when they talk about Logan, even at the initial scrims and sessions it was evident that guys were there to play hard and play for each other with no exceptions.”

‍”For the season ahead I’m looking to bring energy and gain knowledge from the coaching staff and experienced players on how to elevate the team and my game, in turn take it to a professional standard. We have championship aspirations and a more than capable roster to do so I think it really is going to come down just wanting it more than the other teams in the comp.”

‍”I came fairly late to basketball started playing competitively as a bottom age under 21s at Spartans then bounced to Redlands for a SBL season, one season of QBL at Pirates and a preseason with the Taipans, then the last 2 years I went back and played at Redlands during the Covid and inaugural nbl1 seasons with varying success. I believe even though my basketball journey has been relatively short it has been extremely positive and am hopeful and excited for my chapter with the Thunder Family”

Jean-Luc Morel joins Jeremy Kendle, Michael Cedar, Boston Mazlin, Tom Howard, Max Kerle, Rasmus Bach, Javarne Hunt and Zac Young who will line up for the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men in 2022.
