Parent participation is a vital part of the Ability Hoops Program, and we greatly appreciate the support parents and carers provide to create a positive and inclusive experience for all participants. We ask that at least one parent or carer be present during each session, as your involvement helps ensure a safe and supportive environment for your child. Coaches will designate a courtside area where you can stay throughout the session, and you may be called upon to assist if needed.
While our coaches lead and manage the program, your collaboration is key. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to speak with the coach either before or after the session, so they can focus on the participants during the session.
If your child needs a break or prefers to sit courtside, please step in to support them as needed. Should your child want to continue engaging with the activity but not rejoin the main group just yet, feel free to find a quiet spot on the court where they can practice or play with a ball until they’re ready to rejoin.
