NBL1 North Bendigo Bank Logan Thunder Women Player Announcement: Ashley Taia

We are excited to announce that your very own Logan Thunder Junior Ashley Taia has re-signed with the Bendigo Bank Logan Thunder Women for the 2021 NBL1 North Season. Ash played for the Canberra Capitals in the 2020 WNBL season and has previously played for the Adelaide Lightning and Indiana State University in the NCAA. Ash returns for her 3rd straight season with the Thunder and will join Mikhaela Cann one of the best backcourts in the NBL1.

Ash had this to say about returning for the inaugural NBL1 Season: “ It feels amazing to be here 20 years later still playing for Logan. This was the dream when I first started Thunderball; to come back and play for our club and our fans is unreal. Last years success was definitely a continuation of our programs efforts the year before. I believe we have gotten better ever year, which means this year will be our best season yet. Our young guns get better every session and our core group of oldies have undeniable experience and leadership that will take us all the way once again.

The best thing about the Thunder Family is the culture that everyone buys into. We really are a family and you can feel the support and community every time you walk into the building. Even at away games you can always see, hear and feel the Thunder Family presence. “ We are very proud to boast a starting NBL1 back court of two former Logan Thunder Juniors! More player signings and announcements soon.
