Logan Basketball is thrilled to announce that Luke Cann will return as the head coach of the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men for the 2025 and 2026 NBL1 North seasons!

Luke has been a cornerstone of the Logan Thunder program for nearly a decade, and his leadership has been integral to the success of the Thunder Men. After taking over the men’s program in 2018, Luke has built a legacy of excellence, leading the team to finals appearances every year over the past eight seasons and securing an impressive 123-game record. His leadership and culture-building have shaped the team into one of the most competitive and respected in the league.

A Legacy of Success

Under Luke’s guidance, the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men have become a leading program in the NBL1 North, thanks to his commitment to player development, team unity, and continuous improvement. Luke has not only focused on achieving success at the senior level but has also been invested in developing the next generation of talent within Logan Basketball. His vision for the future of Logan Basketball remains strong, and he’s excited about what lies ahead.

“Grateful to be back for another two seasons. Logan Basketball has become an important part of my family, life, and coaching journey, and I couldn’t be prouder to extend my time here. We have a number of exciting juniors we have continued to develop, and we will look to add the necessary pieces to compete for a championship. The main goal is to bring a championship to this special community, and we will aim to continue bringing joy and excitement to our Thunder Family throughout the 2025 season. ThunderUp!! ⚡️” – Luke Cann

We are excited to continue this journey with Luke at the helm, and we’re confident that under his leadership, the Thunder Men will continue to push toward the ultimate goal: a men’s championship for the Thunder Family.

Exciting Times Ahead

Luke is currently coaching with the Brisbane Bullets and will return to the Thunder following the conclusion of the National Basketball League season. Luke will bring even greater experience following his first season coaching in the NBL.

The future of the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men is bright with Luke Cann leading the charge for the 2025 and 2026 NBL1 North seasons. We look forward to another successful chapter under his leadership, and we can’t wait to see the Thunder Men take to the court in the NBL1 North!

Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for the upcoming NBL1 North season.
