Logan Basketball is very excited to announce that McDonald’s Logan have renewed as major naming rights partner McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men NBL1 Program, McDonald’s Thunderball program and McDonald’s ThunderUP School development program. Huge news for what has become a key partnership for Logan Basketball.
The support from the McDonald’s Logan ownership group has been pivotal in the continued success of Logan Basketball and our Logan Thunder programs. McDonald’s have been integral in the allowing Logan Basketball to offer one of the best introduction to Basketball programs in Queensland in 5 locations across Logan City at a minimal cost for families. The McDonald’s ThunderUP school development program also visited a record number of schools in 2021 and will continue to engage with local schools to boost participation and keep local kids healthy and active.
The NBL1 McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men were regular season champions in 2021 and featured the MVP of the league in Jeremy Kendle, Coach of the year in Luke Cann and were the 2nd most watched Men’s team in the NBL1 North via live stream data.
Some key highlights of the continued partnership:
NBL1 McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men competing in finals since the beginning of the partnership
McDonald’s Thunderball program grown to over 400 + participants each year
Over 20 schools visited in 2021 through the McDonald’s ThunderUP School development program
In excess of $22,000.00 raised for Ronald McDonald house charities since the inception of the partnership through the Ronald McDonald house charity game night and Logan Thunder support annually at McHappy day.
The partnership will see McDonald’s remain as naming rights of mentioned programs until the end of 2022.
