Marsden State High School Basketball Program Leader Mark Banno said “Marsden Basketball is excited to partner with Logan Thunder with our Makos ready to take the court this upcoming season and represent the school with pride, passion and persistence. The positive impacts basketball offers to Marsden students is on display every weekend at Cornubia and we look forward to further developing our athletes and being apart of the Thunder family.”
Logan Basketball General Manager Mitch Young said “ Marsden SHS have a goal to become one of the most successful school Basketball programs in Queensland. As a school in our catchment and with many Thunder Family members already attending, we want to help Marsden achieve their goal and continue to develop Basketball in Logan through the partnership.”
“I was impressed to learn that Marsden SHS are the biggest school in terms of student enrolments in Australia… with 3700 students including a diverse multi-cultured cohort. We see the partnership as a way to get more students playing organised basketball and share coaching and development resources to improve the basketball talent in the City of Logan.”
“We are extremely excited to welcome Marsden students, staff and executive principal Andrew Peach and Mark Banno of the Marsden Mako Family to the Thunder Family and look forward working together to achieve success on the court and in the community.”
