Logan Basketball can confirm the following information for the upcoming 2021/22 pre-trial development, trials, SQJBC season and State Championships (U18):
Pre-Trial Information
Logan Basketball will deliver our Thunder Academy during term 2/3 (Player development for representative players to continue to work on skills and be coached by our NBL1 players and coaches). Prior to trials in Term 3, Logan Basketball will deliver 3 weeks of Pre-Rep Development for all players intending to trial. The aim of the pre-trial development is to improve conditioning ahead of representative trials. The pre trial development also gives players the chance to familiarise with representative coaches. The pre-trial development sessions will be 1 hr 30 mins on a Monday afternoon and delivered by representative coaches and NBL1 Logan Thunder players.
Session dates; 19th, 26th of July and 2nd of August.
Trial Eligibility
Trials are open to all players that are registered and planning to compete in the Burbank Homes Logan Basketball Junior Summer Competition. Due to trials occurring at the end of the Winter Junior Club Season, a player may not be registered at the time of trial. Players must however register into the Burbank Homes Junior Club Summer Competition prior to the SQJBC season commencing. All players must be financial with Logan Basketball to be eligible to play for Logan Thunder.
Transfers
If you last played Representative basketball for another association, you must complete a transfer or permission to trial in order to participate in Logan Thunder representative trials.
Transfers between Queensland Associations are now completed online and are initiated by the destination association, paper forms are no longer used. Should you require a Transfer please email Ben- opsmanager@loganbasketball.com with the players Full Name, DOB and the Association that holds their current representative rights.

- All players must register for trials online through https://logan.ownurgoal.net.au
- Cost $10- which covers all trials
- Please wear a light and dark reversible singlet
U18 Boys (players born 2005 & 2006)
- Trail 1 U18 Boys Monday the 9th of August at 4:30 pm to 6 pm
- Trial 2 U18 Boys Tuesday the 10th of August at 4:30 pm to 6 pm
Training will start the week of the 16th of August
U18 Girls (players born 2005 & 2006)
- Trial 1 U18 Girls Tuesday the 10th of August at 4:30 pm to 6 pm
- Trial 2 U18 Girls Tuesday the 17th of August at 4:30 pm to 6 pm
Training will start the week of the 23rd of August
U21 Boys (players born 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004)
- Trail 1 U21 Boys Monday the 16th of August 7:30 pm to 9 pm
- Trail 2 U21 Boys Thursday the 19th of August 7:30 pm to 9 pm
Training will start the week of the 23rd of August
U21 Girls (players born 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004)
- Trial 1 U21 Girls Thursday the 2nd of September at 6 pm to 7:30 pm
- Trial 2 U21 Girls Monday 6th of September at 6 pm to 7:30 pm
- Training will start on Thursday the 9th of September
Selection Process
Each player will be evaluated on pre-trial sessions (Thunder Academy) and representative trials. Coaches will source information from previous representative games, junior club games and school games.

2021/22 SQJBC Season
Commitments
- SQJBC Grading on 4th and 5th and 11th and 12th of September
- 2 x 1.5-hour training sessions per week
- SQJBC Games on Saturdays and Sundays
- 5 x SQJBC Carnival Rounds
- SQJBC Semi and Grand Finals 4th and 5th of December
- U18 State Championships at Gold Coast in January
- Must be a registered member in the Burbank Homes Logan Basketball Junior Club Summer Season.
Information Session
Logan Basketball will hold a Junior representative information session on the 31st of August at 6pm in the Café Meeting room at the Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Centre for any selected rep player parents seeking further information on the upcoming season or Logan Thunder program and pathway.
