Logan Basketball is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Cox as the Association’s new Community & Development Coordinator, strengthening our commitment to player and coach development through sustainable pathways.
Cox brings over five years of coaching and program coordination experience, with a strong track record across junior development, representative pathways and semi-professional competition in Southeast Queensland.
His experience includes:

Head Coach of the Toowoomba Mountaineers’ QSL1 Women’s program since 2021 where he led them to 3 x Semi Final Appearances, 2 x Minor Premierships and a Championship in 2025.

Extensive representative coaching with the Toowoomba Mountaineers representative program across U16, 18 and U21 age groups.

Coordinator of the Mini Neers program at Toowoomba Basketball Association since 2020, building foundational skills and a love of the game among the youngest participants while mentoring new coaches

Association Accredited Coach (Level 2) with Basketball Queensland and a State Performance Program (SPP) Coach with Basketball Queensland, supporting elite athlete development within the state’s performance pathway.
Cox has a unique blend of experience from the grassroots through to the senior level, while building a strong coaching pipeline through his development work at Toowoomba Basketball Association.
Logan Basketball Basketball & Performance Manager Nic Martin said Cox’s appointment reflects the Association’s continued investment in growing the game:

Cox said he is excited to be making the move to join Logan Basketball.

Cox will commence with Logan Basketball on the 17 August.
