Logan Basketball is excited to announce that Obi Kyei has signed with the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men for the 2022 NBL1 North Season. Thunder fans are familiar with Obi who has previously played in Logan for the 2021 (COVID reduced season) and 2018 season. The 6’8 athletic Forward from Sydney missed the NBL1 North finals in 2021 due to COVID border restrictions.
Obi had the following to say about returning to the McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men – “ “ I chose to re-sign with Logan because I feel like we have unfinished business. Best thing about playing for Logan is the people of the club and community, who are second to none!… Thunder fans know I’m coming with energy, this year is no different! “
The McDonald’s Logan Thunder Men begin their season on May 7 against the Southern District Spartans at Rowland Cowan Stadium. The first Logan Thunder Home game in 2022 is May 21 against the USC RIP.
Obi joins Jeremy Kendle, Michael Cedar, Boston Mazlin, Tom Howard, Rasmus Bach, Zac Young, Jean-Luc Morel, Javarne Hunt who will line up for the Thunder Men in 2022.
