Our girls’ team, with three bottom-agers, was the only QLD girls’ team to make it into the championship division (Division 1) of the Club Nationals. Despite a tough pool, the girls fought hard, securing 2 out of 3 wins in their initial matches. They then faced even stronger competition, including teams that finished second and third in the country. Throughout the tournament and coming up against experienced teams, they learned invaluable lessons that helped them secure their last win against Forestville Eagles and earn themselves the 11th spot in Australia. After a big week, we can’t wait to see how they progress in their upcoming U16 and U14 rep seasons!

The boys’ team started their national campaign strong, with convincing wins on the first day. However, they faced extremely close losses the following day, narrowly missing out on a spot in the championship division. Refocusing on the Shield division, they secured a significant quarterfinal win against Darwin but fell short against Northside Wizards in the semifinals by 10 points. In the bronze medal match against Knox, the boys fought hard but were unable to secure the win. Their immense effort made us proud as they represent Logan Basketball well. This experience will be invaluable as they continue to develop as players on and off the court.
