Logan Basketball is excited to renew our partnership with BEST Disability support services.
BEST Disability Support is an NDIS-funded learning centre in Logan that teaches real life and work skills with tangible results through modern programs young adults actually want to engage in.
BEST aim to empower 16-30-year-olds living with a disability in Logan through learning courses, life skill programs, sports, and community initiatives.
BEST provide a safe, stress-free environment where young individuals can thrive, make independent choices, and explore their creative potential.
Their goal is to encourage personal growth, and support each of our member’s journeys toward a fulfilling, independent life.
BEST Disability also host the BEST Basketball League at the Cornubia Park Sports Centre. The BEST Basketball League is a free inter school league with over 120 players competing each week.
“The partnership will help strengthen the existing inter-school all abilities BEST Basketball League – which sees over one hundred local young people living with disabilities compete weekly. The BBL is a free community initiative only made possible by the support of Logan Basketball.
We are also excited to announce that planning is underway to expand the community’s reach to even more free accessible sports, with a new adult all abilities league launching soon. Our partnership with Logan Basketball will also provide BEST Disability Support Members with a new Work Experience Program in term 4 at the Thunder Cafe!“
